Alexander J. Kabiri, O.D.

Dr. Alexander J. Kabiri is an optometric physician, educator, and national speaker with more than two decades of clinical experience and a particular focus on ocular surface disease, complex anterior-segment conditions, glaucoma, and evidence-based therapeutics.

At Bronx Vision Center, Dr. Kabiri provides comprehensive medical eye care with an emphasis on patients whose symptoms or clinical findings extend beyond routine vision correction. His clinical interests include advanced dry eye and ocular surface disease, chronic eyelid and tear-film disorders, glaucoma, anterior-segment disease, contact-lens-related ocular surface problems, and perioperative eye care.

Dr. Kabiri is the Founder and Director of Education of myODce, an independent continuing-education platform through which he develops and delivers accredited education for optometrists. His educational portfolio includes dozens of COPE-approved activities spanning ocular surface disease, glaucoma, anterior-segment disease, therapeutics, amniotic membrane, uveitis, contact lenses, and related clinical topics. He is also the creator of EyeCloud, a collaborative clinical atlas for eye care professionals.

He is also the Founder and President of the Optometric Anterior Segment Society (OASiS), an organization created to advance education and clinical dialogue in anterior-segment and ocular surface care.

Dr. Kabiri serves as Founding Partner and Chief Medical Officer of ECONY Eye Care of New York, and as Chief Medical Officer of Ophthalogix. He also serves as Chief Medical Officer of Optometry for the American Amnion Association, where he advances education, research, and clinical awareness of birth tissue applications in eye care.

He has maintained professional relationships across the ophthalmic pharmaceutical and medical-device industry — including speaker, clinical education, and faculty roles with Bausch + Lomb, Alcon, SUN Ophthalmic, and others — and has lectured nationally on dry eye disease, ocular surface inflammation, glaucoma, emerging therapeutics, and related areas of contemporary eye care. He previously served on the clinical faculty of the SUNY College of Optometry, where he mentored fourth-year externs in advanced patient care.
